Our 2026 Winter West Coast Tour is officially underway, and the momentum so far has been incredible. From a powerful return to San Diego to our long-awaited debut in Los Angeles, the community has already made a huge impact in the fight against cancer — and we’re just getting started.
San Diego Opens the Tour in a Big Way
We kicked off the tour in San Diego — our 11th visit to this amazing community — and once again, they showed up in full force. Thanks to the dedication of our competitors, fundraisers, volunteers, and supporters, we raised $118,000, surpassing our $100,000 goal and setting the tone for the rest of the tour.
San Diego fundraising highlights:
- Top Overall Fundraiser: Georgia Zolezzi (May River BJJ, SC) — $7,153
- Top Youth Fundraiser: Michelle Crivello (Silva Jiu Jitsu) — $2,695
- Top Fundraising Team: May River BJJ — $10,541 raised by Georgia and her father, Julius
We’re incredibly grateful to the San Diego community for continuing to support our mission year after year.
Historic First Event in Los Angeles
This past weekend, we hosted our first-ever Los Angeles event, and it was a milestone to remember. Together, the community raised $55,976, surpassing our first-year goal of $40,000 and establishing an exciting foundation for the years ahead.
Los Angeles fundraising highlights:
- Top Overall Fundraiser: Cary Workmon (Gracie Barra Redondo Beach) — $2,915
- Top Youth Fundraiser: Jameson Anderson (All American Jiu Jitsu) — $2,010
- Top Fundraising Team: Kihon MMA — $9,459
We’re thrilled to bring Tap Cancer Out to Los Angeles officially and can’t wait to continue growing this event in the future.
Next Stops: More First-Ever Cities Ahead
The tour continues this weekend with a run of first-ever cities. We’re heading to Salt Lake City, followed by San Jose, and then Seattle.
Each new stop brings us closer to expanding our reach, strengthening the grappling community, and raising critical funds to support those affected by cancer.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the tour so far — whether by competing, fundraising, donating, volunteering, or cheering from the sidelines. We’re just getting started, and we can’t wait to share more updates as the 2026 Winter West Coast Tour rolls on.
