Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has always emphasized the use of proper technique and leverage to defeat a significantly larger and stronger opponent. When we went in search of our new beneficiary for 2016-2017, we knew it was our responsibility to find the biggest, baddest dude in the room to take down.

We found “him.”

All of us here at Tap Cancer Out are beyond excited to announce our third and newest beneficiary,  the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

“This is such an exciting opportunity – to be able to bring awareness, as well as our message of hope, to a brand-new audience is invaluable,” says Donna Manross, Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. “Our challenges are great and the need is urgent. The funds raised by Tap Cancer Out will move us closer to our vision of doubling survival by 2020,” added Ms. Manross.

With this new partnership, we aim to raise more than $200,000 over the next two years and help the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network make significant strides in early detection, treatment, and improving clinical trial opportunities for patients. Fundraising for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network will commence with our 5th annual Tap Cancer Out Spring BJJ Open on April 23rd in Stratford, CT.

This partnership comes on the heels of raising $236,000 for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation in the last two years, co-funding four researchers in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Maryland.
