Craig Jones Invitational to Support Tap Cancer Out as its Premier Charity Partner

Austin, TX – The Craig Jones Invitational and Fair Fight Foundation will partner with Tap Cancer Out to raise critical funds and awareness for cancer-related causes. Proceeds from the CJI and donations made through the Fair Fight Foundation will support Tap Cancer Out and its beneficiaries, among other worthy causes.

The Fair Fight Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing jiu-jitsu, its international athletes, and related charitable causes. The Fair Fight Foundation – the organizer behind the Craig Jones Invitational – connects its charity partners to a growing, dedicated fanbase, using its voice to empower athletes and increase contributions to humanitarian efforts.

“Supporting nonprofit organizations is part of the Fair Fight Foundation’s DNA”, said Seth Belisle, Founder and President of the Fair Fight Foundation. “Tap Cancer Out is a renowned organization in the jiu-jitsu space and we know that everyone – including many CJI competitors and fans – have profound stories surrounding cancer’s impact on their lives. We are proud to designate proceeds from the inaugural Craig Jones Invitational to Tap Cancer Out, among other worthwhile causes.”

Equally inspiring, KASAI CEO, Rich Byrne, has generously offered to match Fair Fight Donation’s contribution to Tap Cancer Out, dollar-for-dollar. Fans and viewers will have the opportunity to make donations to the Fair Fight Foundation through the CJI website, and via QR code displayed between fights.

“We’ve followed the Craig Jones Invitational and Fair Fight Foundation’s efforts to elevate the stature of our sport with great admiration”, said Jon Thomas, Tap Cancer Out’s Founder and Executive Director. “Tap Cancer Out is honored to serve as the CJI’s Premier Nonprofit Partner to add special meaning to this exciting tournament and the incredible array of athletes who comprise it.”

CJI competitors and fans can continue their support of Tap Cancer Out through its 20 annual tournaments and signature Global Grappling Day event on December 14th. “Giving back is not a one-off activity for us” said Belisle. “Everyone involved in the Craig Jones Invitational believes that jiu-jitsu is a global force for good and we’re thrilled when we see our athletes and fans engaging causes like Tap Cancer Out well beyond the tournament”.

Tap Cancer Out’s mission is to motivate and empower the Brazilian jiu-jitsu community to raise awareness and funds for cancer fighting organizations. Founded in 2012 by first degree BJJ black belt Jon Thomas, TCO has hosted more than 100 events welcoming over 40,000 competitors. As a 501(c)(3) organization focused on empowering passionate communities to create change, Tap Cancer Out serves as a vital “force multiplier” to amplify both awareness and fundraising. To date, more than $6.25M has been raised and donated by TCO to its beneficiary organizations funding a broad spectrum of cancer-related initiatives with another $1.5 million series of gifts committed in 2024.
